This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Layton Sports Cards collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the www.laytonsportscards.com website (“Site”). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by Layton Sports Cards.

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, subscribe to the newsletter, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

Non-personal identification information

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Layton Sports Cards may collect and use Users personal information for the following purposes:

If User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

How we protect your information

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site.

Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its Users happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures. Our Site is also in compliance with PCI vulnerability standards in order to create as secure of an environment as possible for Users.

Sharing your personal information

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.We may use third party service providers to help us operate our business and the Site or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending out newsletters or surveys. We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes provided that you have given us your permission.

Layton Sports Cards has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will post a notification on the main page of our Site. PAYMENT

Layton Sports Cards uses PayPal to process orders.

PayPal Pro Payflow Edition – This is used to run secure credit card payments through PayPal.

We do not keep payment information on our site. Your information is sent through a SSL connection directly to PayPal where your transaction is processed.

PayPal Express – When using this payment method, you are taken directly to PayPal’s secure servers to complete your transaction. We do not keep payment information on our site.

BOX & CASE BREAK RULES

PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION

We provide a description with every break that can include a detailed description of what can be expected from a product (information from the product sell sheet), how many spots are in the break, if the base cards will or will not be shipped, and other information that is helpful before making a purchase.

BREAK SCHEDULE

Our break schedule calendar is constantly being updated. We will modify the schedule accordingly when product release dates are pushed back by the manufacturer. Please be aware that we are not made aware of these date changes ahead of the public, but we will do our best to update the calendar as soon as we do find out that a product release has been pushed back.

We try our best to stay on schedule but depending on the products, some breaks may run longer than anticipated.

All of our break times are scheduled in the Eastern Timezone (Eastern US Standard Time), unless otherwise noted in the break description.

Rules of the Road During Our Live Broadcasts

We reserve the right to ban people from the channel during our live broadcast, whether you are in the break or just watching.

THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN FOR ALL OF US! PLEASE DO NOT RUIN THE BREAK FOR OTHERS! Harassment will not be tolerated. Foul language will not be tolerated. Please abide by our rules and let everyone enjoy themselves!

  • $25.00 to $99.99 – qualifies for 500 point if hitless.
  • $100.00 and Up – Will be on a break by break basis.
POINTS FOR GOING HITLESS WILL BE ADDED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE AFTER THE BREAKS ARE SORTED AND HITLESS SPOTS ARE CONFIRMED. THESE MUST BE MANUALLY ADDED SO PLEASE ALLOW US ADDITIONAL TIME.

OUR LIVE BREAKS

When purchasing a spot/team in any of our breaks, you will not be receiving a sealed box or case of unopened product. You will receive cards from the team you selected or are given as a result of a list random.

BREAK TYPES

Pick Your Team* **

When a new product is released, we will offer a number of breaks in this format so that collectors can purchase the team that they like, follow, or otherwise want. The first Pick Your Team break listed for any product is normally, the only one that ALL cards are shipped, unless otherwise noted in the break description.

If ALL cards are shipped, you will receive every card, including hits, parallels, and base cards for the team(s) you purchased.

Prices for teams in a Pick Your Team style break, are determined by the possibility for hits for each team as mentioned in the product checklists.

Any and all customers of Layton Sports Cards can be provided with the NPN (No Purchase Necessary) code that all Card Manufacturers provide on the same products that we open. When you checkout with any purchase from this site it is assumed that you have read our terms and conditions and are legally bound to them.

**You DO NOT have to attend the live break to receive your cards! It is however recommended.

Random Team* **

Random Team style breaks can cause confusion. Please follow along below as we detail out, how Layton Sports Cards runs Random Team style breaks.

When we list a product, we will let you know in the break description, how many spots there are in the break. This is noted as we have found that some teams have very few or no hits in a product. If we do get the product checklist and find that a team has no hits, we will throw that team out. If any hits are then pulled for this team, we will random that hit to all HITLESS teams at the end of the break (Due to scheduling, we will hold randoms of this nature, the following day, if this is the case, we will tell you this during our live feed).

We will also, based on the product checklist, combine teams to give you a better chance at getting a hit in the break.

Random Team style breaks – How Layton Sports Cards Does It

Randomizing

Using Random.org dice roller, or a real pair of dice, we will roll to determine how many times the list of spot purchasers’ names get randomized. If we roll anything less than 3, on the die or dice, we will re-roll.
We will then list out all the spot purchasers’ names in Random.org list randomizer (there are instances where we may need to use a different online randomizer like PsychicScience.org) and randomize this list, the number of times the dice determined in step 1.
We will then list out all of the team names (full list, or list with team combinations, or with some teams removed; please read break description) in Random.org list randomizer (there are instances where we may need to use a different online randomizer like PsychicScience.org) and randomize this list, the number of times the dice determined in step 1.
The results are then placed in Excel side by side and shown on screen as the results are read off.
The recording will be stopped at this point and will be available on the video tab on Ustream for you to watch. Be aware that the video may take a few minutes to render and be available.

We will then provide time to those in the break to trade teams if they are watching live. The time for trades is set by the breaker. It can be a minimum of a minute up to a max of 3-5 minutes. Once the time is over, all trades will be confirmed. We ask that owners email laytonsportscards@gmail.com with their confirmations of trades, you MUST email using the email address you have registered on our site, or you used when paying via paypal, if this email comes from an email address we do not have record of, we will negate the trade.*

*We reserve the right to negate any verbal agreements made in our chat room if we suspect any wrongdoing or foul play. We will provide evidence of said wrongdoing if necessary.

The final list of team names to spot purchaser names will then be posted under our News tab using the name of the break as the title.
The recording will start again as we introduce and begin the break.

Hit Draft

Using Random.org dice roller, or a real pair of dice, we will roll to determine how many times the list of spot purchasers’ names get randomized. If we roll anything less than 3, on the die or dice, we will re-roll.
We will then list out all the spot purchasers’ names in Random.org list randomizer (there are instances where we may need to use a different online randomizer like PsychicScience.org) and randomize this list, the number of times the dice determined in step 1. This determines the DRAFT ORDER.
The results are then placed in Excel side by side and shown on screen as the results are read off.
The recording will be stopped at this point and will be available on the video tab on Ustream for you to watch. Be aware that the video may take a few minutes to render and be available.

We will then provide time to those in the break to trade teams if they are watching live. The time for trades is set by the breaker. It can be a minimum of a minute up to a max of 3-5 minutes. Once the time is over, all trades will be confirmed. The recording will start again as we introduce and begin the break. All boxes will be opened, and all cards will be on camera or we will hold them up for you to help you make your draft decision. To make this process smoother, we suggest writing down cards and information about the cards down as the break happens.
Once all boxes are opened and all cards have been shown, the recording will stop and the draft will occur.
We will let you know who is on the clock first. Each person will be allowed 3 minutes to make their choice.
If this is a snake style draft the order will go 1-end of list then end of list-1. This will occur until all cards are picked.
We may at times get more or less than the anticipated number of hits. If this occurs, we will determine what is the fairest way to move forward with the hit draft.
If more than the anticipated number of hits, we will randomize the extra hit to all of those in the break, or provide it as a bonus hit to the spot with the worst hit as determined by Layton Sports Cards.
If less than the anticipated number of hits, we will work with those that did not receive the prescribed number of hits to get a replacement hit to them. The hit sent could be a card of their favorite player or team. Layton Sports Cards will work with you to make sure you are happy.

Going Hitless – UPDATED POLICY AS OF 12/1/2016

With the new LSC Rewards Points Program, there will no longer be hitless packs sent for hitless teams in our breaks. We will be utilizing the LSC Rewards Points Program to compensate for hitless spots. The number of points will be determined by the cost of the break spot.

Multiplayer Cards

Majority rule will always be in effect. If a person owns MORE than 50% of a card (2 out of 3 teams, 3 out of 5 etc) the card will go to that person. Otherwise, using Random.org dice roller, or a real pair of dice, we will roll to determine how many times the list of teams or owner names get randomized. If we roll anything less than 3, on the die or dice, we will re-roll. The name at the top of the random will get the card.

NEW MULTIPLAYER RANDOM RULES IN EFFECT AS OF 5/13/15

If one person does not have the majority of the card and it must be randomed, each team represented on the card will be entered into the randomizer one time for each spot on the card that team represents. Due to our tight time frame, we will do the multiplayer randoms before we ship or as soon as possible.  If we roll anything less than 3, on the die or dice, we will re-roll. The name at the top of the random will get the card.

PERSONAL BOX BREAKS

When purchasing a personal box. You will receive all of the cards from your break unless otherwise noted in the product description. In some cases, the product may be base heavy and will lead to a higher shipping fee. If you do want all of your cards, we reserve the right to invoice you for the shipping fee. If you choose, we will donate your base cards to our local softball/baseball league, rather than ship the base cards to you.

YOU WILL ALWAYS GET YOUR HITS, PARALLELS, INSERTS, NUMBERED CARDS, AND SHORTPRINTS.

SHIPPING

Cards will be shipped within 3 to 5 business days after a break is completed. You will receive an email from Stamps.com upon shipment of your items which will provide a tracking number.
BY LAW, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST ITEMS IN THE MAIL. IF WE HAVE SENT YOUR PACKAGE(S) TO THE ADDRESS THAT YOU PROVIDE UPON CHECKOUT, AND WE SEND IT IN A SECURE MAILER IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE USPS AND YOU. WE WILL ALWAYS SUPPLY YOU WITH TRACKING AND IF ANYONE EVER WANTS ADDITIONAL FEATURES TO THEIR SHIPPING THEY NEED TO EMAIL US AND LET US KNOW WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE BREAK. WE CAN USE OTHER SHIPPING METHODS AND INSURANCES FOR AN ADDITIONAL COST.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

THERE IS AN INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING FEE OF $9.99 PER CHECKOUT (See link below for 2016 Postage Increase Information). PEOPLE HAVE ABUSED THIS SYSTEM AND PURCHASED MULTIPLE BREAKS OVER A SPAN OF TIME AND WERE ONLY CHARGED ONCE. IF YOU DO THIS WE WILL HOLD YOUR CARDS FROM ALL BREAKS UNTIL THEY ARE ALL COMPLETE AND SEND THEM ALL OUT AT ONCE.
IF SOMEONE BUYS IN MULTIPLE TIMES IN ONE DAY OF BREAKS AND IS CHARGED EACH TIME PLEASE NOTIFY ME AND I WILL REIMBURSE YOU.

IF AN INTERNATIONAL PACKAGE IS LOST WE CAN ONLY OFFER BREAK CREDIT FOR THE SPOT PRICE OF THE LOST PACKAGE SO LONG AS IT WAS NOT OUR WRONG DOING FOR LOSING THE PACKAGE.
